Matthew R. Etzler
Certified Financial Planner™, Certified Retirement Counselor®, Chartered Retirement Plans Specialist℠, Chartered Federal Employee Benefits Consultant℠, Certified Financial Education Instructor℠
The "Not-So-Professional" Bio
A native of Northern California, Matt grew up with a deep appreciation for family, community, and hard work. His personal mission is to live a compelling vision, balance work and family, celebrate life and have fun!
Married to his best friend Jill, Matt and Jill have three adult children living in Texas, Tennessee, and California. They have always encouraged their children to pursue their dreams, and are proud to see them thriving in different parts of the country!
While math was Matt's least favorite subject in school, he excelled in English and had a passion for music. He still enjoys singing on occasion and still ponders if the Hokey Pokey really IS what it's all about?
In his early adult years, Matt moonlighted as a professional Disc Jockey, and his first dance with Jill happened at a party she hired him for. Over 35 years later, they are still dancing together.
Matt has a history of helping young women pursue success in the sport of fastpitch softball and in life. He believes that character, not just talent, determines one’s destiny. While talent may get you to first base, character will bring you home.

Maison Etzler
Born in Northern California, Maison was raised to believe that anything in life that you want you can achieve through hard work and perseverance. Admittedly a dreamer, Maison is not afraid to make mistakes in pursuit of his dreams. He loves living spontaneously and in 2014, Maison packed up all of his possessions and drove across the country in his "99" Chevy Lumina to create a life in Orlando, Florida without a job or a home.
Now a resident of Nashville, TN Maison enjoys fitness, traveling, and spending time with his four-legged child, Thaddeus. Maison also enjoys recording podcasts, playing video-games, and a good debate regarding any subject he is passionate about.
Maison's work experience includes positions with American Express, the Walt Disney Company, and Best Buy. Maison obtained the Financial Paraplanner Qualified Professional™ (FPQP®) designation and uses his analytical and problem-solving skills to support the financial planning process and client deliverables.
Cord Claffey
Born in Thousand Oaks, California, Cord is no stranger to the beach and surfboarding. Growing up with three brothers, Cord naturally developed strong planning and strategizing skills. He earned his degree in Finance from the Fowler College of Business at San Diego State University.
Cord's professional journey began when The Vanguard Group recruited him out of college to work on their Flagship Service Team, where he honed his skills in delivering world-class service. He then joined Edward Jones, working on their fixed income desk, where he educated advisors on asset allocation and security selection.
Taking a brief hiatus from finance, Cord built a home for his wife and two dogs before joining Charles Schwab's Trader Service Team, where he specialized in derivatives and active trading.

PROFESSIONAL ASSOCIATIONS
Entering into an advisory relationship is an important decision that has significant lifelong implications.
For this reason, we offer a no-charge, no-obligation introductory consultation. Unlike most advisory firms, we won’t ask you about the size of your investment portfolio, your net worth, or any financial statements before or during this meeting. Instead, we want to get to know you—your goals, objectives, and concerns. We also want you to get to know us, understand what we do, how we do it, and how we've helped others in similiar situations.
In this meeting, you'll sit down with a Certified Financial Planner™ professional to talk about what truly matters to you. If we’re a good fit and can help, we'll provide a clear, written proposal explaining how we’ll work together and what you can expect. As fee-only fiduciary advisors, you can be assured you'll receive real advice and planning, never a sales pitch.
